HEROES HELPING OUT IN CARITAS MANILA

“It is our honor to share our time and talent for our brethren in Marawi City,” Ms. Marianella Ayroso of Union Galvasteel said. Ms. Ayroso or Minelle for short is one of the 40 PHINMA HEROs who joined in the Caritas Manila’s relief and repacking efforts for those afflicted by the siege in Marawi City. The volunteer activity was held in the Caritas Manila Warehouse in Manila last August 25, 2017.

The 40 PHINMA HEROs from PHINMA Inc., PHINMA Corp., PHINMA Properties, and Union Galvasteel repacked 295 food relief bags, 40 tarpaulin shelters, and 40 boxes of blankets. These bags will be given to those in need. “Kahit ilang ulit pa kayo magvolunteer matutuwa po kaming makasama muli kayo,” Ms. Gilda Avedillo of Caritas Manila said as she extended her thanks.

“We are also delighted to meet some employees from our sister company,”Ms. Minelle said. Aside from extending help to those in need, the activity was also a venue for employees from different PHINMA businesses.

This repacking activity was done in partnership with Caritas Manila, a non-profit organization that serves as the lead social service of the Philippine Catholic Church.
