iProject 2020: I Am a Work in Progress

One of the much-awaited activities of the PHINMA National Scholarship Program, the annual PNS Leadership Conference, finally happened last January 10-12, 2020 at Quest Adventure Camp, Teresa, Rizal.

This year’s Leadership Conference is entitled “iProject 2020” which focuses on how one’s integrity stems from the awareness and acceptance of the self. Throughout the three-day training, scholars went through a series of fun, emotional, and engaging sessions designed to help them draw out their personal mission statements. These statements are reflections of how they know themselves and how they will use that knowledge to stand by their values in making everyday choices.

All in all, 71 PNS scholars attended the said conference: 52 from PNU Manila, 14 from PUP Sta. Mesa, and five from UP Diliman.

Invited speakers from the PHINMA family also gave the scholars some inspiration and tips on how to carry on with their personal mission statements. They are Mr. EJ Qua Hiansen, PFI Vice President, for “Critical Thinking”; Mr. Hernan Barce, PNS Alumni Association (PNSAA), for “Growth Mindset”; Mr. Ron Ranier Reyes, PHINMA Public Affairs, for “Self-Worth”; Ms. Ginelle Petterson, PFI Program Specialist, for “Self-Confidence”; and Mr. Oski Araojo and Mr. Elmer Bolalin, PNSAA, both for “Strengthening Your Purpose”.

“iProject 2020” has already been the fifth Leadership Conference fully prepared and facilitated by the PNS Alumni Association (PNSAA).
